Passat coilovers

    Hello guys, just looking for some advice. I never had a car lowered so not very experienced in this domain. I have bought a VW Passat 2002 . Have a set of 19" AMG 477 alloys. Will fit them Tuesday . Also got coilovers and was not sure how low should I drop the car to sit nicely on the 19 " alloys . I saw a few nice lowered cars that look very nice but dont want to drop it too low. Just about 1 " between the tyres and the arch. Would 60 mm be enough?

    Sure with 19" Mercedes wheels on a VW the sump guard has to be scraping the road for the correct look doesn't it?:P

    deck her aslow as u can possibly go for that to look well !

    Thanks so much for your response . Left the car off to my mechanic today, I told him to go as low as possible without touching anything.

    Make sure you get your car re-tracked. If your suspension is distressed or you have excessive camber issues raise the suspension or buy more kit.

    There is a happy medium on Irish roads between too low and getting over speed-bumps driveways or into carparks.

    I have seen a car get stuck in on speed bump and its not a pretty site. Id also be terrified of breaking a sump(again)

    Low is not always better. Its a compromise.

    thats the way i like it and thats how mycar is sitting :L ad i live in rural area there is certin roads i cn't go but thats the sacrifise :L

    What brand coilovers did you get stelio? I want to get a set for my passat but not sure which are better, JOM or FK? Dont want something crazy hard either..

    I got the fk coilovers as recommended by most of my friends who have coilovers . Haven't driven the car yet as need to get 2 spigot rings for my alloys. Having a f****n hard time finding them in Galway.
