    Hey all.

I plugged in my android phone to my pc to download some stuff on phone, it was all fine till at some point monitor switched itself to power saving mode...

Now my monitor is working on and off... sometimes there is no problem and sometimes it just power saving mode from moment i switch on pc... you can hear windows starting normally, but monotor stays in power saving mode.

I have checked and exchanged all cables, tried hdmi and dvi. dont think its a hardware issue since sometimes everything is working fine...

My monitor is lg w2286L. i have windows 7.

Any idea how to fix it?

    Thx in advance

    DD

Could be many things, loose/faulty RAM, dodgy PSU, if its an older Dell it could also be due to bad capacitors. It could also be faulty video card. I'd try opening the machine up and re-seating the RAM to see if it helps,

Doubt it is hardware problem, as I checked all that come to my mind, ram, psu, graphic card, computer is not overheating. Somehow i think plugging my phone to pc caused the problem, but i cant figure it out how to fix it. Especially that sometimes computer works fine...

Have a look at the capacitors on the mobo, any bulging/leaking? Seems odd the phone would cause such an issue,
