Can anyone recommend a good solution for using my iPhone 4 in my 03 Focus?

Basically, I'd like something that charges the phone and allows me to play music through the stereo and take calls through the stereo speakers. Dash mounted would be good so I could use the GPS.

    Any suggestions?

Have the older version of this http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_869337_langId_-1_categoryId_212600
Works really well and relatively cheap. Might be worth looking at the pioneer equivalent in halfords, there on sale at the min.

Try the Belkin Tune base, Ive been using one for 2 years and never had a problem. It will hold your phone, charge it, also you can play music and take calls through your car speakers via FM transmitter.

    It available in halfords

This is kind of what I had in mind but I'd be wary of the FM transmitter. What's the quality like for music and phone calls?
Seems a good price and no installation costs.

quality is excellent, I understand where you're coming from with doubts about the fm transmitter but it works perfect. Just ask em when you're buying it can you bring it back if the interference is bad. test it in the car park. thats what i did

Do you the difference between the FM Live and the FM Handfree?
They also seem much cheaper on eBay. Would these be older models?

Replace head unit with JBC X50 BT

Only 80 quid on Amazon, Bluetooth calls, Bluetooth music, USB adapter that charges iPod.

Yeah, just get a Bluetooth stereo with phone capabilities and a cradle with a cable going to the cigg lighter (this is my setup and works fine)

Now we're talkin. That sounds great.
Any idea if it's easy to install in a 03 Focus?

If you can install a car radio you can install this. I just got one put in my 01 beetle to replace the cassette / radio unit.

The best part is that it's much shallower than standard units so space behind is no issue.
