Seemingly I've registered for that site (must have been a while ago, can't remember). Got two tickets just there, email sent and all - would like to give the two tickets to a friend, I presume that's all ok?

Yep. Just either mail them the tickets or print then off!

OK, it is very very slow, crashed a few times, didn't do anything when I logged in, yet has emailed me to tell me I'm booked! Thanks OP!

You just hand in your sheet and in you go.
If you look under 18 you may be asked to show ID as it's an 18s movie.

Why don't you want to go on your own? I never go with anyone else to the cinema as I find it a distraction but I guess that's a whole different debate!
