Personal experience, x music may be more expensive than elsewhere. For example, the Ableton Launchpad is €20 more expensive in x music than in the city centre.

I had a good experience with Music Minds in lower Liffey st on an audio interface (tech term for what you are looking for) a few months back.

There are still places flogging USB 1 interfaces. Some folks don't mind them but I cant see the point in paying for obsolete technology.

They can be cheap enough, too. They were cheapest by a fair bit for a pair of hd25-1s a couple of weeks ago.

Like anything, it's probably best to shop around for it. I still think it'd probably be cheaper to get a usb soundcard online, though, and would give a better selection.

Do you have any idea what sort of pricerange you're looking at? I might be able to be of more use if you could tell me.

sometimes I wonder how much easier life is for the singer songwriter. Arrive at gig with nothing more than a constipated look and itchy balls and you're set up for the night. Frickin' interfaces, controllers, effects, laptops ... costs us a fortune and some clown still asks for Living On A Prayer even if you're doing ambient. It's a thankless job. :p

Forget about any of the shops mentioned so far then.

    Online here:

I wouldn't be expecting Rolls Royce quality and you'll wait 2-3 weeks for delivery from China.
