I am wondering if anyone out there has an old pavilion dv9500 that is not working. I am trying to study and as everyone is in the same boat employment wise I am very short on cash. That said my pavilion screen gave up the ghost. I have checked online for a screen but the replacement ones I have found are really expensive and have been out bid on 6 occasions.

I know that this is a long shot and am willing to pay for a second hand screen so please leave me a message if you have one with a price you are looking for it. Please if possible leave a pick of the wiring and what I think is the graphic card that is attached.

    Many thanks

    Matthew

For the moment you could get a vga crt screen, from jumpletown ie ,free to collect, or a 15 inch vga lcd in electronics recycling finglas is 20 euro. That includes vga cable.
just plug into laptop, press fn plus f4,, or f5,f7 function key with
screen tv icon to turn on vga out.
what size is the screen u need ,15 inch, widescreen.?

Thanks for getting back to me...... I am going to have to come up with another solution as I got home this even and now it seems the board is giving hassles as I turned it on and it loads for about 30 sec and then switches off and starts again.

For now I have come up with a netbook a friend has loaned me that they aint using but as he said his grand mother moves faster and he wasnt lying. How did they get away with making them net books........

Have been searching online for a desktop that is in good condition that I can build up once I have a job again.
