Sorry if this has been discussed to death, but I am watching the rugby sevens on Sky, they are held in Twickenham this weekend.

at the moment spain are beating wales at half time. the usa put up a good show against samoa earlier, as did zimbabwe against fiji.

i have also seen kenya and other rugby 'minnows' do well in these tournaments.

With 7's been included in the 2016 Olympics , what is the state of the game in this country, if any ?

As far as i know the irfu has started putting things in motion with sevens tournaments held in march for both senior and junior teams being played, i gather this was to get some sort of squad together for the future. Suppose its a wait and see.
