    is this possible, ?

Yes, also check the Saorview UHF channel/frequency isn't conflicting with the RF2 UHF channel/frequency.

Thanks Cush, could I use a splitter with a power pass on one leg to control the eye?

You'll need a decent level of aerial signal to cope with losses if you're just using a normal combiner/splitter.

Yes. Just make sure that no power goes to the saorview aerial.

    One like this will work:

Just note that the RF2 out of a Sky box in an unusual connection. You may need an adapter or coax joiner to connect to it.

Instead of using a splitter you can can just connect the Saorview box to the "antenna in" connector on the Sky box. That is the whole point of that connector. So the Saorview signal will pass into and out again of the Sky box and then on to the Sky eye and then the 2nd TV.

I would think he knows this (I believe he's an installer) & is limited by the cable runs available, there have been threads looking for a solution to this problem before & some have also suggested sat./terr. diplexers to bring the terrestrial signal to RF in.

I suppose it depends if those concerned want the terrestrial signal available to the main tv.

Something like the Triax DDU can diplex tv signals on 2 cables, so a Sky+ setup can have both its lnb connections & also aerial-in & RF out fed back for distribution with just these 2 cables.

It's just a male socket to make sure you don't confuse it with RF-in.
