missed interview for jsa

I'm a little stumped, my hours were recently reduced and I applied for JSA (my first time on any benefits so I'm a little confused about the system), got a letter on Wednesday saying my interview was for today, but as I work on Fridays I went to the decisions people and they said they would let the people upstairs know and someone would ring me back, no one did, so I rang the office on Thursday and got through to a lady and she said she'd let them know and that they would usually just send out a new appointment.
Anyway, I was in work today and missed a a call form the welfare office about half an hour after my appointment was, I tried ringing back the number about 5 times and each time it rang out.
Hypothetically, would this have been about me missing the interview and would that affect my claim even though I let two different people know, and it was on my work sheet that I work on Fridays.

Won't Affect anything, ring them set an appointment date that suits you, and that's it.
