Just wondering if anyone had tried this driver and interested on hearing your feedback?

I'm only playing golf seriously since September 2011(14 handicap).
I have gone through 7 drivers since then. My driver swing speed is between 100-110mph depending on the day(mood :P) I also have quite a steep angle of attack which in turn makes me spin the ball more. Driving is definitely the most inconsistant part of my game. That being said i am quite a big hitter(probably 280yrds on average) Longer if I could just straighten out my left to right shape a bit more.
Anyway, I took the plunge on an i20 about 2 months ago after trying it on the range. I instantly fell in love with the look but more importantly the performance, feel and sound.
With previous drivers I found that the ball would balloon on me and i wouldn't get much roll out after carry. I went with a 9.5* with the stock stiff TFC shaft as it is the heavier lower launching/lower spinning option(Project X is the lighter higher launching option believe it or not)
I didn't get fitted on a launch monitor but just by watching the ball flight i could tell it was spinning less and i was getting a much lower launch. I'm carrying the ball on average about 20 yards further but i'm getting way more roll out.
I'm leaving my playing partners in the dust off the tee nearly everytime(4,6 and 9 handicappers) It's also quite forgiving in my opinion, i haven't found myself too much shorter/left/right on bad strikes.
In my opinion this is the best looking club out this year(ever for Ping)

From my experience you can't go wrong with this beast. It's the best performing, looking, sounding driver i've had. I'm now looking at the 3 wood too and possibly a hybrid or 5 wood. I can safely say i won't be changing this anytime soon. Since getting it my driving has improved so much. That being said, i have been practicing my driving a lot more since got it :P

    Agreed on its looks.

The entire i20 range is the sweetest looking range probably ever produced.

When you look at it at address it just squares up beautifully, according to reviews it dose not perform any worse than the 15 range, if it's better or not I don't know but the 15 range were were top notch so once it's the same or better you can be sure it's one of the top performing drivers on the market.

I'm sold on the looks anyway, it really looks like a precision tool.. !

20 yards!!! must give this a demo!!! I was looking for a hybrid, so will give the Ping a try, will sample the driver too. Reviews of the 3 wood are very positive if your in the market for one.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: 7 Drivers.

    Hahahaha yeah I know!! :P
Blamed the equipment before I realised it was as much my fault(if not more)
But it did take me awhile to find one that suited me.ie. loft/shaft/weight
Thankfully only one of the 7 drivers were brand new(the i20) :P
I can't see myself hitting my i20(or anything else) any better so I'll be sticking with it for a long, long time.

Got one of these during the week fitted with a Project X 6.5 shaft. Very happy with it. Ball flight and Distance is very impressive and find it much easier to shape than the Titleist Driver I previously had

I was going to buy one with the proceeds from my i15 but now McGuirk has dropped the price of an i15 to a paltry €149 so my newish club is now worth very little.

Guess I'll have to wait a few years now before I go i20 :-/

This was first prize in Beaverstown's Intermediate Scratch Cup on Sat 19th May. Seriously nice looking prize but could have done with it before the round to try help me try stay out of all the trees.

And this is the biggest difference I've noticed tbh. I've had one for a few weeks now and the biggest differemce ive noticed between this and my previous (G5) is the look of it (which is delicious).

That being sad, the second biggest difference is the ball trajectory. my i20 has the same set-up (flex, loft) as the previous club but must be a good 20 yrds lower is ball flight. I'm putting this down to Ping's own shaft on the newer model and even though both clubs are 'stiff', the i20 feels just a little tighter, for want of a better description.

I dont think anyone should be put off by the "Players driver" marketing spiel. It's not hard to hit at all. I've hit a lot of the newer drivers recently and dont think there's much difference between the top of the range.

The i20 range with their sexy black matteness is lovely and as we all know, its much more important to have great looking clubs, than to play well.

As an aside, I got the i20 hybrid also (20 degree) and that is a seriously great club to hit.
