College finished for the summer

Ok so my friend is feeling a bit down because school is out for the summer, he had started to like living away from home in his apartment but has to move out and head back home which he says there is no work, nothing to do etc. Don't know what to say to him, any ideas?

Tell him to either try get a job in Athlone for the summer or go home for three months and exams pending..he gets to come back. Organise a few meet ups over the summer. He'll cope
