    Hi All,

Reminder the Shay Elliott Memorial is on this Sunday http://www.braywheelers.com/events.htm

If not riding, why not plan your spin to come out and support the race, usually great action on Glenmalure.

Might just do that. I'm assuming the sensible thing if going to SE from Laragh would be to go on to the Greenane turn-off on the Rathdrum road and back out to SE rather than risk meeting oncoming racers coming down SE?

That would be best option however we will have marshals at the bottom of the Glenmalure climb who will let you know if it's safe to go up from that side.

Fancy going up Glenmalure to see this alright. Weather seems good. Kick off 11am. from Bray. Muller, what would be a good time to be up at the memorial you reckon?
    Cheers.

It's hard to judge, fastest time is estimated at 1.12pm, slowest is 2.18pm, I'd say it would be somewhere in the middle of these times. However there will be a lot of marahals on the road you could stop and ask long the way, who should have updates from race officials.

Is there anyone heading out to the race going close to Dundrum? My wife is off with the car to the Celtic Crono. I could ride over, but will be on tubs... Petrol money etc... given :)

We got a mention on Eurosport during the Giro, fair play to Harmon for mentioning our tweet about the race.

Went up and had a look at the Memorial .... arrived early so did the climb from both directions! First time up the Shay Elliott ... not as bad as I feared! Have to say I was really shocked at the surface towards the bottom on the way back down, how the guys did it at full race pace without puncturing is a mystery to me!

Ryan was unlucky to have Lavery's team mate on his wheel from the top of the climb all the way to the finish, who obviously didn't do a tap of work.

Evergreen Dave Peelo also very unlucky to have a flat a few KM from the finish, he would have been racing for 5th without it.

Great ride by Lavery away in the break from very early in the day.
