Going to ladies day at the races.....what to wear!

Really need some help!! I am going to ladies day at Galway races, I know its not for awhile yet but I don't want to leave it too late to get something cos I always end up rushing at the last minute cos I can never find something and also I'm going away for nearly the whole month of July
!
Anyway I'm between a size 18-20, have a big tush and awful knees so I need something suitable! I think a dress is appropriate but I can't have anything too short as I've awful knees but don't want anything too frumpy looking (fussy I know!). I'm 26 so would like something age appropriate!
I also need to find a stylish jacket/coat because as always weather in Ireland is too unpredictable!!
