    Hi guys,

I have got three dishes and want to feed the three of them into my Technomate 6900HD receiver.

I have three cables coming to the receiver, one from the Sky dish giving me a dedicated 28.2° East feed. I also have another cable running through the attic from an 80cms dish with KA-LNB bringing in Saorsat. The third cable is connected to my 1 metre dish which is motorised and ranges from 53.0°East to 30.0°West.

To complicate matters I also have my Panasonic TX-P50G10B which has an integrated Freesat tuner and I have also tuned in Saorsat to it. However the TV does not do Diseqc switching and I bought a 2 way Diseqc switch to test it and it dosen't support Diseqc. Typical Panasonic, a great screen but useless firmware and everything, I even have to hack the TV to get Saorview into it, my Saorview reception is terrible, thus the Saorsat.

I really don't know what way to set it up? I was thinking of connecting the feed from 28.2° directly to the TV to give it its Freesat functionality, to incorporate Saorsat into the TV I would need some sort of a manually switched Diseqc switch.

For the Technomate I want to incorporate 9° East Saorsat and the feed to the motor into the receiver. I will use the Technomate for watching and recording saorsat, I can use it for recording Freesat also by moving the Dish to Astra 28.2° East when needed. What I am wondering is if the Diseqc switch might interfere with the Motor in anyway?

I'd like to hear others opinions on how they'd do this also?

    Hi,

you could not make it more complicated ;)

Why you want to double services on your TV and box (I assume the only reason is that TV has a HD tuner build in).
Cant understand why your saorview is not working unless you are in this 2% not covered by saorview, but I will rather looking into wrong pointing aerial or bad connectors.

Regarding your motor& diseqc marriage check this theread:

    http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/21816-settings-for-using-diseqc-motor-and-diseqc-switch-with-tm1000-series.html

I am personally belive that simple things works better, because they simply works :)
Why not check out saorview aerial first and leave it connected to TV together with fixed 28,2 for freesat, and use diseqc port 1 for motorized dish and port 2 for KAband and try to do the trick from link I gave you earlier?

    Regards

    Radek

    OK.

    So
    Dish 1 28,2
    Dish 2 9 East Saorsat
    Dish 3 motorised

Just put a 3 port diseqc switch between the receiver and the 3 cables to the dishes.

To switch between two cables use a mechanical switch like this:
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/aerial-switch-17808

Here is a version that comes with a remote control to save you jumping out of your seat all the time.

    http://www.amazon.com/Remote-Control-Satellite-Selector-Switcher/dp/B0042QCLQ4

You could probably get a very fancy universal remote that might combine all the TV options and this remote functionality

I don't think so. Ideally connect all 3 dishes to the technomate. Then when you switch to 28.2 there will be no delay while the motor moves, as the motor will not be used for this position.

Also there may be a solution to the diSEqc in the Panasonic. I have asked boards user (who has the exact same problem as you) Daithi7 to see if this hidden menu is in his panasonic
    Hi,

It appears some Freesat TV's have a hidden menu for DiseqC which may make then suitable for Saorsat. It is not in the user manual.

We are discussing another TV here.

Try the same key sequence and see if a hidden menu appears. Let me know, and others, if it does and we can try get Saorsat on it for you.

He has said he is going to try it and let me know.

Can you try find this hidden menu in your panasonic?
