Volunteering with animals abroad

Hi there, looking for some advice. I would like to volunteer abroad with my 17 yr old daughter this summer for approx 2 weeks. We are looking to work with animals and get some genuine hands on experience. Anyone have any advice or done this themselves?

Hi I spent 6 weeks here in 2010, was a great experience. I worked hands on with various types of monkeys, rare bird, cats & a bear, was amazing.
Probably a bit far away for a comfortable 2 week trip. (Bolivia)
