    The 14 day cooling off period is for network coverage problems. You want to leave because it costs others to call you. You even got your friends to cancel calls on their end so you could report it as a dropped call (btw they can tell if the call was network dropped or handset terminated). You have been deceitful in trying to get out of the contract and your annoyed at them. BTW just leaving the phone with them doesn't cancel the contract, your still getting billed.
