Software to remap alt-tab to another bind?

I have found some software for remapping specific keys, and even some that would allow me to remap left alt to left windows key, but none so far that solved my problem.

Basically I'm playing a game fullscreen and I would like to bind left alt+tab to something in game without it alt-tabbing me out to another program when I press the combination. I would still like to be able to switch programs, but I would like to do so using a different combination.

Please also consider I do not want to just remap say left tab to left windows key which would work as I want while in my Windows XP desktop if that would mean in game left alt would be remapped to the left windows key as this would solve nothing.

Perhaps somehow editing the actual key shortcut of left alt + tab to something else is the way to go? Any advice on how to do this?

there is a keyboard editor thingy somewhere on microsofts site.

I do not know if it can modify tab keys though

In the past I've used KLM Keyboard Layout Manager (http://www.klm32.com/index.html) to do keyboard remapping. It's pretty powerful, but I think you'll have to shell out for one of the paid editions to do what you want.

This can't really be done in any easy way - Ctrl + Alt + Del is a special key combination which can't be reprogrammed.

However, the key combination you are looking for is Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
This will open the task manager directly.

not so much that it can't be reprogrammed more that it was the only keystroke reserved by microsoft in DOS so was available for windows to use.

the difference between a cold boot and a warm boot is how you catch that interrupt.
