Starting my ammo stock early this year. Was wondering where i could find Fiocchi 12 gauge No.5 cartridges. I won them at a competition last season and really enjoyed shooting with them. I also like eley but was thinking fiocchi might be cheaper.

My favourite cartridge for duck! Only in a 34g 4's as they double as good round for foxes! Ardee sports company sell them 250 for 90e!

Now that is for sure. Often fired a Fiochhi through the gun and when you looked through the barrel it would look like the inside of a chimney! If you fire an Eley after it as I often have it will clean the barrel for you!

Walshe in Knocknahoshel or Malcom Graham in Monaghan i seen a few tt trap shells in lakelands! PL34's in 6 shot is a hell of a duck shell!! if you cant get them local try out the SIPE another great shell!!
1 reason for the shells fowling the barrels, are they damp??? my game shells burn as crisp as my trap shells!

They should supply each box of Fiocchi with a snake/pull through but other than that not too bad of a cartridge, Eley all the way.
I think Trapper John sells them Fiocchi's but he is mad expensive like some

Used fiocchi 8 32grams on pigeons and they were the best I've used so fat on pigeons. Got in Knocknagoshel, not cheap tho at around €8.50

why d'ont you give the guy's where you won them off a buzz?
As regards fiocchi being dirty - clean it out with an alphamax every 30 rounds then - they are no dirtier than an other round - their trap shells are pants!!
As regards a No4 being suitable for foxes - my arse unless he's sub 40yrds.
Like yourself used to use them & Alphamax but recently found a wooden box of 750 bakiel records no:5 in the attic so I'm sorted for the next 10 yrs! Happy russian days :D
Alphamax no 5 with do the same job and be easier to obtain.

Hi if you have 750 of them you will end up with 600 of them as 2 or 3 did not go off in each box with them records shells :rolleyes:

Haha dude, records are the only shell I've never had a misfire from - generally have a 3 foot flame from the front of the barrell!!!
used a few in tullow a cople of weeks ago and they were the only one's to drop those "handy springers"

not bad for 25 year old 32grams! :)
