Hi all, the url to my blog no longer operates, and Google says it doesn't exist. Also addind to my worry is the fact that the forum is empty of all authentic posts, it's all spam. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
I have the same problem. My blogs.ie blog was working fine and then all of a sudden about 2 months ago it just stopped. I've tried contacting them but no reply. I've also got into their forum and left messages but no reply. I've started a new blog using wordpress but when i google, my old blog keeps coming up (but clicking the link comes back with 'website does not exist'). I just want to get into my old account to retrieve some of the articles before deleting the account forever. It's so frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have an RSS feed from it? Maybe you could get the content from that?

(And a lesson for life: no matter what platform you use, keep independent backups.)

No I don't unfortunately. It's so frustrating. Wish someone from blogs.ie would just make contact with me

This is really crazy stuff. I'm trying to run a business and I've had so many complaints from people saying that when they google getdigs.ie the blog comes up but it's the old blogs.ie blog which is not working. I've generated a new blog using Wordpress but google won't bring this one up they only bring the old one - which isn't working. I can't get any response from blogs.ie - I tracked them down to a company called 'Browse the World' but nobody answers the phone! All I want to do is delete the god damn account! Sombody please please help me.

That will naturally fix itself soon: I just looked for getdigs.ie on both google.ie and google.come, and your proper site was at the top of the first page. The old blogs.ie site was at the bottom of the first page - and will drop off soon enough, as google's crawlers update their index.

Hi Mary, thanks for the response.
I agree with your analysis regarding putting getdigs.ie into Google search. Yes, our main page does come up first but my problem is that the old blogs.ie getdigs.ie blog keeps coming up page after page and there is no sign of the new Wordpress getdigs.ie blog. It's been like this for months and I too thought that through inactivity the old blogs.ie page would fade out of Google but it's definately not been the case. I can't understand how a blogs.ie representative cannot be contacted! It doesn't make sense to me. But thanks for the reply.

Think of them as like property developers who've gone bust.
