    Hi,

I'm looking for a new 60cm freestanding cooker.
Any thoughts on what's best - Gas, Electric, Dual.

Currently leaning towards a Dual Fuel one for no real reason.

    Even which makes are good.
I have a New World one now that was possibly the cheapest cooker in the country at the time it was bought and has never been up to much, but other than that I don't know what's good, Belling? Beko? Leisure? HotPoint? etc.

    Thanks for any help.

The consensus appears to be Gas hob & Electric oven. That is what we have and I find that the combination works very well.

I'm going to assume that you have town (piped) gas in which case I'd strongly recommend a gas hob and an electric fan oven.
