Photostream not working?

So as I understand it, Photostream is supposed to automatically upload all the photos I take on my phone to the cloud. Only it seems to miss about half of them. I just took a couple now and there's no sign of them.

I checked, and Photostream is definitely enabled - is there another switch I'm missing, or is it just a bug?

    Are you connected to WiFi?

Nope - doesn't it work over 3G? I took some photos in Bray a few weeks back and I thought they went straight up.

No, it's WiFi only. A 3G option would be nice though.

Try the google+ app. Its instant upload function allows you to automatically upload over wifi or 3g.

True, though at the same time I'm sort of relieved by the bandwidth savings.
