UPC Digital group all their news channels from EPG slots 201 - 207. There is no room for expansion as 208+ holds the Discovery Network of channels.

The only way for expansion, going on past trends is downward by one to EPG slot 200.

Over the next month or so, we've had it confirmed that RTE News Now will launch on the platform. And today according to the Irish Times (http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/finance/2012/0510/1224315837822.html) Oireachtas TV will be moving into the News Section and possibly expanding it's output due to it's popularity.

With two slot requirements would UPC use this opportunity to finally reorder the 200's and give more space and room for growth for these and any additional new news channels or just dump them into the mid 200s?

The 6 month trial of Oireachtas TV on UPC is now coming to an end, the trial service started on the 15th Nov last.

In Apr UPC asked for feedback on the channel which appears to be very positive.
UPC’s survey of 946 customers suggested 55 per cent believe their viewing experience would also be improved by highlights and discussion programmes. In its presentation to the Oireachtas last week, it also suggested the channel should include educational programming and weekly round-up packages
