hi just wondering if you can do your 12 EDT lessons with more than 1 instructor or do you have to stick to the same one?

You can have 12 different instructors if you want .... The EDT log book is your's to take to any instructor you want

I've had 3 different instructors. I'm booked in for my test now so no problems with that.

Perfectly entitled to do this. However the second instructor will need a little time to make sure you have been given the information from earlier lessons and have a reasonable grasp of it. As well as needing a little time to assess your driving level. The first lesson with them may have more catch up and revision, but they should be back to a normal pace in the second.
If you have good cause to change, go for it. If it is just a whim, stick with one instructor.

Very true. I'd a pupil start with me last week. She's got the first 3 EDT lessons done with another ADI but hasn't yet gone on a roundabout and didn't know which obs to make when turning etc etc. Unreal!!

No logbook? Did their other ADI keep it or what?

It'll be interesting what will happen when the check test becomes EDT based. From what I'm hearing some will fail just delivering EDT1

Never heard that. When is this supposed to happen?

I think I read a very brief sentence about it in the last newsletter but I'm not sure. I'll have a look and get back but tbh I'd say that's the natural progression. I said as much when the the first came out.

had my check test 3 weeks ago. Used student and EDT lesson No.3 for this. Doesn't seem to be any probs doing it either way. :)

Other ADI said he had none in stock! But two weeks since their last lesson and numerous calls he still has not produced it.

6 lessons done and another 2 weeks on and no logbook!! Sounds very convenient (for the ADI) not exactly giving the profession a great rep. Why don't they supply the EDT info booklet to all new learner permit holders along with their permit theywl be able to read up for themseleves on how the EDT system works rather than taking a chance with some of the less scrupulous instructors to give their version of how it works.

I wonder if they are actually actively registered, maybe their permit lapsed or something. Christ, last week I ordered logbooks on Saturday night (on a Bank Holiday). Logbooks arrived on the Tuesday by courier!
