Facebook Birthday Question

    If 'dont show my birthday on my timeline' is selected (in Basic Info > About) but my correct birthday is typed in will other people know its my birthday on facebook?

    Yeas and no, some apps might be able to use this info.

    but in general people wont be able to see my birthday and wont get a birthday email or reminder for me?

    If it's hidden, it's not public so it will not appear in the top right on the big day and you won't be deluged with birthday greetings.

    If you are sensitive about showing your DOB you can set it so it only shows the Month/day and not the year e.g. May 12 and people will see it. You choose to restrict this to only friends.
