Mortgage Protection - Property Now rented out

    Hi,
I'm looking for some advice on the need to continue a mortgage protection policy on a property.
I bought the house 8 years ago - since when I have had to move for work - and the house has been rented out for the last 4 years. It's unlikely, though one can 'never say never' that I will ever return to living in that property. I have no family, and as such it can not be considered a 'family home'
I had to take out a mortgage protection policy when I first bought the house as it was my primary residence. It is no longer my primary residence - can I therefore cancel the policy without any recourse from my bank??
It's costing me €30 a month so if I can get rid of it, it would be good :)
    Thanks for any advice/experience

Mortgage protection...no income protection...only pays out if I 'kick the bucket'
