I am considering doing a digital marketing/social media course either online or in college, depending on what's entailed timewise etc...

I am planning to start an online business in the next 12 months and wanted to get up to speed on online advertising, effective ways to commuicate to business people online, how the general public and business people are absorbing information online, how google searches work & how to position yourself up the list, virals and how to make them effective and how to present your website to make attractive and user friendly for your target market.

In essence it would be how to get your business to make the most of the internet!

Does anyone have any advice on courses or where to go looking for information on courses?

    Thanks :)

Our local County Enterprise Board runs short courses in using Social Media in Business, maybe yours does too? Contact info for all CE boards is available here: http://www.enterpriseboards.ie/index.aspx

You might try the national courses database: http://www.qualifax.ie

It has a lot of info on it but mainly on fulltime higher and further ed courses but it does try to keep track of shorter courses too.
