My new Dell XPS 15z has very faulty construction

Hi all. I'm so disappointed and frustrated! After reading a lot of positive reviews about the Dell XPS 15z, I decided to get one. Dell does not ship directly to Nigeria so I had to provide a US contact address for Dell to ship to and this was eventually sent to me by courier from my contact in the US. However, upon receiving the laptop, I noticed that the chrome edge trim was sticking out and was not properly aligned with the edge of the laptop on the left side. I also noticed that two of the black shock absorber feet at the bottom of the laptop where loose and not fixed in place! I get the feeling that I got a refurbished laptop! Please what do I do? The express service tag number checks out and I have 350 days of warranty left. Please help!

get an RMA from Dell and send it back, what else were you expecting to be able to do?

Damage from the courier maybe? If so then it's not Dell's fault. Was the laptop in the original Dell packaging when you received it?

Yeah, I was thinking of that. My challenge however is that I'm in Nigeria which means I'd have to pay for courier delivery thrice?

contact dell and see if they can do anything for you, but to be honest (and please don't be offended) i'm not sure how much luck you are going to have once you tell them you are in nigeria, as unfortunately your country has a bit of a reputation for being the source of a lot of online scams.

all you can do is try though and if all else fails, ship it to the US and get them to take it from there.

if you explain the situation, maybe they would let you RMA it to somewhere in europe instead?
