I traded in my Volvo V40 at 170000 miles to a Wexford main dealer (Different brand to volvo)
I have just seen it for sale on done deal at 130000 miles, wexford (non-simi dealer).
To be quite honest this makes me sick.
Is there anyway for me to report this case of fraud??

First thing you do is report the ad to donedeal, they will take it down atleast that will stop people from seeing it for the time being, maybe throw the reg up here that way if people search the number it will come up and they will know?

She looks clean for 200,000 miles if that's it. Didn't think a Volvo would last that long. http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3276607

It was well cared for I suppose.
Any advice on what to do?
Will start with done deal, but I believe they dont give much of a monkeys on this issue.
    Fraud makes me livid

I am the previous owner of the car,
I know I traded it in at 170000 MILES
I know it is now for sale on done deal at 130000 MILES
Is there any reason why I cant post the registration?

    Yea
Probably the best thing to do.
Wouldnt have followed up on this except bizarrely a guy called to my house today and asked the wife if the car was going well before I traded it in. She said nothing. He said he got the address from the NCT cert. I had absolutely no intention of getting involved with this, but looked up the Ad out of curiosity to see what money the seller was asking for....NUTS!

Hold your horses for a moment. Has anyone actually viewed the car and verified that the mileage has actually been altered? It would not be the first time that a typo was made on the interweb.

Verify that it has actually been altered before doing anything else.

ring the lad tomorrow to enquire about the car. ask about the mileage. If he give you the lower mileage politely advise him (do NOT accuse him) that you are the previous owner and the mileage is false and he "may" have "inadvetently" purchased the clocked car from the previous dealer.
(although more than likely the 1st dealer shifted the car on quickly for the trade price he gave you to this bloke whose in the trade and then he may have clocked it himself)

Also, I thought the NCT didnt give out cert details to people who enquired due to Data Protection for this very reason???

Is it possible that the car has done 38k miles since you sold it, and someone looked at the 208k miles, mistakenly read it as KM and put it in the ad as 130k miles?

Funny how the "mistakes" are only ever to the benefit of the seller.
