    Hi all .. Does anyone know anything about Valmet 900 .I know one for sale but know nothing about them what to look out for ect..

    what year is it,check front axel bearings if it has a loader on it,and he clutch for free play other than that their bomb proof

    Its 1998 with under 4000 hours . It has a loader on it..

    older ones (pre 2003) some gave a good bit of gear box problems. heard of one that cost approx 6500 for parts. you would be far better buying a 6400. thes were a far better tractor at about the same horse power. the gear box and back end of these were the same as the bigger valmets. only thing that gave trouble was the powerr shift at about 8000 hours. some with a lot of loader work done had a bit of front axle problems but only if not looked after in time

    A bill like that is the last thing ya need . Someone told me parts are expensive for them all right. Massey, New holland and John deere seem to be most popular but are making big money .... Thanks for the advice...
