i use a pair of the Nike Heritage shoes and really like them, light and very comfortable. Also waterproof(-ish) for Irish summer!

Those Ecco's look more like trainers than golf shoes.

With summer on the way ( yeah right ) , i'd like to invest in a pair of summer golf shoes. Something that's really light and comfortable. Any recommendations?

Maybe along the lines of these:

    or

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Zak.

The Nike ones are a lot cheaper in JJB or even Heatons Sportsworld. Check out the prices there before buying.

I recently bought a pair of the Nike Air Range shoes. They are very light and really comfortable. Haven't had any issues with grip. My feet definitely don't feel as tired when I am finished a round. They should come into their own in the summer when the ground is harder.

Yeah, I'd like something light and comfortable for the sunnier days. Must try them out.

Anyone any experience with the Ecco Bioms?

I got a pair of Ecco Biom's recently -and all I can say is that they are the most comfortable shoe that I have ever worn. It barely feels as if you are wearing a shoe. The reason that I got them is because the new ones are Goretex lined - but I intend to use them mainly as summer shoe - especially on those weekends where I play both days.

The Bioms are the bones of 200 euro - correct?

The gore-tex shoes are amazing though and will never let in a drop.

One piece of advice - when they get a soaking don't dry aggressively in the sun or in front of a fire or you can get splitting of the leather where it joins to the sole.

I don't thin JJB or Heatons have these Nike shoes (Nike Air Range Golf), as checked their sites.

Being looking a while to try and get the black and grey ones and cant get them.
Even Halpenny dont have them, they only have the red and white ones and some other black and yellows ones.:(

Cheers nocal. Did you get the Biom Golf shoe or Biom Golf Hybrid shoe?

Got the Biom Golf shoe - I do not plan on using them on wet days for now. I'll see how they hold up but they will be useful for early morning rounds on dry days where there is still a lot of dew on the grass. I was actually thinking of getting the Ecco casual cool shoes or the Biom hybrid but as soon as I tried the Biom golf shoe on I just had to have them. I though I'd get more use out of them in this country.
I do also have a pair of Ecco classic shoes with Goretex - they are my main winter shoe and are fairly comfortable, keep my feet bone dry but are not light.

    Thanks a mill nocal.

I also have a pair of Ecco shoes with Goretex which I was planning to use mainly as my winter shoes. They are great as they keep out the wet.

Will try the Biom and Biom Hybrid and make a purchase. Thanks again.

I'm gonna try some on in the Ecco store at Liffey valley. Might try some of those Ecco street shoes also.
