Had this procedure a few weeks back and a bit later started to get a bit of discomfort. Dentist had warned me it was a tricky one and it appears some root is still alive and causing minor discomfort. Having paid 350 my dentist is suggesting that i now go to a specialist and get it redone. he says this might cost 800. i will also need a crown at about 900 in place of the filling i have now. i would welcome any opinions please

Get you 350 back and go to the specialist. I am sure the dentist will allow you that off the crown fee.

he has been family dentist for a long time and has not offered to repay. dont really want to get into a confrontation he has always been good. i think he is close to 70 and its time for me to get a new dentist

Were you offered the option of a root canal specialist prior to/during treatment?
