I'd say you should definitely go 2nd hand if you want a decent club for that price, you won't get much new club for your money!

Plenty of guys on here regularly selling stuff, there's even a thread somewhere round here where people post their adverts listings

Yeh,2nd hand would be no problem, once its in good condition, good value and suitable for me.

Think I saw an R7 3 & 5 wood on adverts yesterday - you won't go too far wrong with them.

There's also a few Callaway 5 woods on Adverts in your price range.

Peepee, how much you looking for that 3 wood burner?

You don't need a 3 and 5 wood i have a 4 wood for sale which is the best of both worlds.

The steel head is old at this stage so i'm not sure if i would go for that, the R7's and anything from taylormade would be good.

€99 is a bit too much for me Mike, thanks anyways.
Yeh,a mate said those steelheads are old.Taylormades may be out of my budget.Looking to get decent quality 3 and 5 wood for €50 or under.

Wouldn't worry about the Callaway Steelheads being old they are as good as any of the more modern woods. If you can get the 3 & 5 for around €50 you should snap them up I reckon.

Kagni-have you used the Steelheads III before? As I said earlier,I'm a high handicapper and would like easy to hit, forgiving woods.I tend to hit 5 wood quite a lot if I'm on fairway(can't get the hang on long irons yet) so I'd also like a good 5 wood thats easy to hit off the fariway and rough. If the Steelheads are suitable for me,I might just get them.
Edit-What about La Jolla Knife 3 and 5 wood?

Would you maybe considering aiming for a Hybrid club rather than 5-wood, should bridge the gab between a wood & Irons for you as they tend to be easier to hit and offer a great alternative if you're looking for some extra distance hitting out of the rough.

I got a second hand set of clubs a few weeks ago with driver, irons, putter and an 18 degree Wilson Prostaff hybrid.I've only used them in the driving range but heading out for a round in 2 weeks.Would that Wilson hybrid be OK?
I'm not great with a driver, normally feel more comfortable using a 3 wood off the tee and 5 wood off the fairway so thats why I was looking for both woods.

I've never hit the Callaway Steelhead III woods but a mate of mine has them and loves them, they were highly rated at the time and I don't think fairway woods have improved that much over the last few years.

There is also a pair of Mizuno F60 woods on adverts which are going at a decent price. I have hit the F60 5 wood and thought it was an excellent club.
I use the older model, Mizuno F50, 4-wood which is very similar to the F60 and I won't be changing anytime soon.

Those Mizuno F60's must be sold, can't see them on adverts.ie.I'll keep looking around.

Loads of great value used woods on ebay from USA, if you know anyone travelling over to lower shipping costs, they change equipment so often in america that the used market is flooded with near perfect clubs particularly this time of year, start of the summer season

But would you not have to pay to take them home as they would be classed as oversized luggage?Bit of a tight squeeze to get them into a suitcase!

They are still there, not for much longer though I'd say . . .
