Stopping BTEA + holiday?

    Hi,

Im on BTEA at the moment and will let SW know when my course finishes to stop BTEA. I am also going on a holiday and SW told me to let them know 10 days before my departure. My concern is, 10 days before my departure is May 31st and my course finishes on June 1st so this is when I am going to inform SW to stop the BTEA.

Can I inform SW about those 2 things on the same day (June 1st)? Will it make any difference or will I get into trouble if I inform SW that Im going on a holiday 9 days in advance instead of 10 days? How long in advance do we have to inform SW anyway?

Just had a look around and found this:
You may receive Jobseeker's Benefit or Jobseeker's Allowance for two weeks holidays (i.e. 12 days excluding Sundays) in any calendar year. These holidays may be taken abroad.

If you intend going on holidays abroad, you should inform the Local Office two weeks in advance of your departure and complete form UP 30.

so is it 2 weeks or 10 days? I was told to inform them 10 days in advance?

    Thanks

i'm in exactly the same position as you though i have finished exams. i am going away on tuesday and i will be bringing in my college letter to say i have finished the year tomorrow.

however, i will notify them of holidays tomorrow also. i assume there won't be a problem, there never has been before, in fact i think she may even have said "come into me the day before you go". it may depend on your officer though.
