New trend?

I seen a black modified golf a few days back driving around with no bonnit on it. I also seen the same thing done with an old modified red Honda civic around the same time. Is this some new trend? Big red TDI writing on the golfs engine so every man within a mile can see it.

    Explain this to me?

It must be fun when water hits the wiring :pac:

I'd say its to show how much parts they chucked in, if any...

I was in a similar situation through no fault of my own, catch flew back and bonnet smashed my screen... Off with the bonnet for the remainder of the journey!

To do it on the regular is just stupid!

I'm sure it is illegal. I saw a few USA civic boys on YouTube doing the same thing.

if i saw that absolute lunacy i wouldn't report it to the Gardai and tell exactly in which direction the car is going.

That's a bloody disgrace and needs to be stopped at it's routes.

    Not alot, some evaporation.
Alternator and associated belt won't be overly impressed though along with electrical component longterm.

I've heard of replacing a bonnet with a lighter one eg, carbon fibre but actually removing it altoghter :D Didn't think I'd see the day!

It would short the battery terminals together no, if its a good downpour?

... gravity (with car at standstill) and airflow and gravity (when it's moving) would stop that me thinks.
