Hi, I'm thinking of treating my OH to a trip to Rome in January. It's a significant birthday so I'm looking for any recommendations on all things romantic e.g. boat trips, nice restaurants, places to stay that are a bit special. The Corso (Close to the Spanish Steps) and the surrounding streets are the main shopping area of Rome. Lots of designer stuff and quirky one-off shops.

A stroll around the Borghese gardens is also recommended. (free!)
