I looked at my LC results recently and while i was always under the impression 40% and over was a pass but at the very bottom it says 0<50% unsuccessful so I'm just wondering if anyone can clarify.

Anything above a D3 (40%) is a pass, so no, definitely not.

Well, I'm living in australia now and this "unsuccessful" grade is creating alot of confusion with universities that I have applied for, do you have any tips on what exactly I can do to show these people that I actually did pass and not fail?

It's not a fail but it's a dissapointing result all the same.

You get points for a D2 I think.

That's the Result layout for Link Modules (LCVP). Nothing to do with other subjects!

Australian universities can easily find out the standard of an Irish Leaving grade - as Irish universities do with the HSC.
