    Anyone go for these yet?

    Interesting concept, bit pricey though.
Is it just a gimmick or something worthwhile looking into?

I was out for a fitting with David last week and we got to talking about wedges. He never once mentioned their new line of wedges and told me to buy another Vokey.

I bought some early last week, i must say they are very high quality, theyv gone straight into my bag. I was using new vokey sm4 but couldnt get any of the low flight pitch shots to check. After i tried foregolfs ones i was pleasantly surprised at the spin and flight. The new grooved wedges tend to pop up in the air rather than fly in low and spinning. But somehow foregolf have managed the fizzy flight with new grooves. Really good imho.

What kind of shafts did you have in the sm4's?
I got 3 new sm4's fitted with dg spinner shafts and I find I'm getting a bit too much spin as now I have to factor the spin in to the equation as if the game wasn't hard enough. Moved away from Prov1 to reduce spin put its still not perfect as I miss the Prov1 from inside 20 yards.

It wasnt a spin issue with sm4, it was ball flight just popped straight up, useless for hitting low skidding pitches with check, musch better with the new fore ones though, not a spinner shaft in sight.....

so, do they bend them to what loft you require or are they say, 54 & 60?

Thats exactly the problem I have with my SM4. They're lovely in most ways but that low skidder is really really hard to hit with them.
Must look into these ones though, thanks for the info.

I would agree with you, low punches are much more difficult to hit with the SM4 than they were with the Spin Milled Red Disc model, I totally skipped the CC model so not sure what that was like.

I've been working on low shots for the last few months with an SM4 and I'd only describe my progress as passable.

Beautiful club for high floaters though, I'd rate it better than the Red disc model.

Yep, the SM4 is very nice for most shots but that low skidder is not its greatest strength.
Recently I've intermittantly gone back to the old Callaway X-Tour sand wedge (the model before the X-Forged) from around 2006. Managed to pick up 3 of them brand new last year in a closeout on golfdiscount.com for half nothing :) Pity they only had the chrome ones left, much prefer the raw !
