    Top contribution.

I think they're looking for legal tender though.

From the sounds of things, Monaghan don't seem in particular danger of going out a business. Trying to put together a Premier Division budget with below-average First Division home attendances was always going to take its toll.

Can't imagine Roddy comes cheap either.

Our budget was sound but due to some sponsorship deals falling through we are left in a deficit. Nothing to do with Roddy or the team costs as our budget is manageable if the deals promised to us had come to fruition.

How bad is the financial situation?

Bad enough that for the first time ever we have been forced to put the begging bowl out but not so bad that we are going to walk away from the league.

The chairman reassured us last night that the club has every intention of fulfilling all its league fixtures in 2012 but without some help that will become impossible.

Would a few winning bets have eased the financial problem!? ;)

    2+2=4 now!

Will the club be looking to let players go in the summer (the ones that can find new clubs obviously)? I'd be willing to donate to help a club survive, just not to help a club stay up, if you understand what I mean?

What is your average attendence since been in PD?

There probably will be some players leaving but to be honest our squad are not on lots of money and its not just the wage bill that is causing problems.

Smaller than we had hoped for by a long shot! We have only had 4 home league games this season with an average attendance of approx 800.

What do you get for sponsoring a seat?

Do they have a women's team called Venus Mons?

Your name on the seat and a photo of it in a certificate/scroll.

Yeah, that was show by the 150 attendance at their match against Bray.

    No offence.:)

At the moment Drogheda United is sucking me dry :D but how about I promise to come to our away game with ye? Extra bum on seat!!!

Seriously though supporting a league of Ireland team is not cheap! Season ticket was €199, Claret and Blue club is €250 per year, at every home game I seem to shell out about €20 in raffle tickets, lotto and programme...

I suppose it's not a patch on the English leagues.
