    Hi,

    am on the lookout for a good reliable diesel car. Currently have a petrol corolla (99, 200k miles) so was hoping for a Corolla but Diesel, in the 6-8k mark, under 80,000 miles, or perhaps a Focus.

    On my searches ive come accross a few s40's and i've allways had a soft spot for them. I had an old hatchback before but tbh wasnt that impressed.

    Anyway reliability and fuel efficency (60mile commute) are my big things. How would a s40 rate in your opinion, compared to a focus or corolla?
    Opinions greatly appreciated.

    nice and all as they are i hate a car that causes trouble, had a megane for three yrs and learnt that the hard way.
