Failed Transit Oriented Developments (TODs)

I'm writing a project on an inner city suburb of Brisbane that's currently being redeveloped and densified on the promise of a new underground link to the CBD. However, at the moment the redevelopment is going ahead but the future transport link is looking very dodgy. I'm trying to think of international examples where this has happened previously but I'm struggling. I'm hoping someone might be able to suggest a few places? The examples needn't have been failures, in fact it'd probably be better if they succeeded in spite of the transport links not proceeding.

Exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for- thank you! It's also very similar to what's happening here in Brisbane - old tram infrastructure removed to make way for cars, discover the need to be less reliant on cars, proposals to reintroduce trams/metro, proposals passed and financing secured, change of government, they want their own legacy project, nobody knows what's happening.

I'll look into the Edinburgh Trams project and see if any development went ahead that was reliant on the tram network reaching it.

Also, does anyone know of any Dublin development that depended heavily on the Metro project? I doubt there will be any as the Metro never really got to that stage where people thought it might actually happen.

Not a 100% sure what is going on with this project but I think it is metro dependent. Dublin Airport City maybe if you look into it more don't know much about it remember hearing about it.
