Maybe you could ask the college if they have any info on graduate progression into employment, etc from the course. That at least might give you an idea of how well the course might be regarded.

Also how developed are the practical aspects of the course? Are work placements a feature of the programme? What are the backgrounds of the lecturing staff, etc?
