    I see on flight radar today the above flight stopped in Gander and the flight continued to Charlotte with an A319. Is this another example of stretching the 752 or a simple diversion due to technical problems?

    Could've been technical. She was an hour late leaving DUB this morning,though i think that had more to do with the inbound flight having been late arriving.

    Hopefully this is only a one time thing, as I am taking that flight next monday, have a plane to catch to ORD in CLT

    757 had no problems last summer, as already said a tech fault most lightly.

    From US Airways site:
    This flight has been diverted to Gander, Canada. Estimated time of arrival into Charlotte, NC is 7:52 PM. (scheduled 12.55)

    And now on Aviation Herald;

    Uncommanded increase in thrust on an engine necessitating a shutdown.
