With the way things stand at the moment with my results it could be possible I mite have to repeat first year.
    1. If I have to repeat the year, would I be exempt from the subjects I passed all ready. In semister 1 I failed 1 out of 6 and this semister failed 3 out of 5.

    My course is tourism btw

Yes, you are exempt from the subjects you have already passed, but you do have to pay full repeating fees.

If you repeat externally I think you don't have to pay the full registration fee, but yea you should be exempt from the modules you have passed.

    whats repeat externally mean. ??

If i do repeat 1st year ill be doing the following subjects in the Higher Cert in Business Tourism.

    Semister 1 (Sep-Dec 2012)- German A1. I passed all the other Modules
Semister 2 (Jan- May 2013)- German A2, Intro to Management and Visitor information.

If by some miracle i passed Into To Management and Vistor Information in the summer exams i can carry the 2 germans and go into Second Year :D:D.

Repeat externally means you can't go to the lectures, you just study yourself at home or whatever and sit the exams or do the assignments etc..

You can ask the lecturer if you can sit in on their classes, but they don't have to let you if they don't want to.

The head of the course, Olivia Freyne (who the op probably has as a lecturer too) is very lenient on this in her lectures, but also lets students repeating externally join in with other classes too. It wouldn't matter to the lecturers anyway.
