    Hi

I have a lancer cedia estate 2003 and want to get a roof box & rails.
I understand that the rails need to be specific to each car make but i cant find any lancer estate rails. The car doesnt have any fixing points (that i can see)
    What are my options?

    I have used this site.

If you don't want delivery from UK (or think they are pricey) at least you will know the sets to fit your car.

try micksgarage.ie. Just ordered one for my car. Good bit cheaper than thule and free delivery

    I had a look at roofbox.co.uk

What they have listed for my car looks like what i need, as i said my car doesnt have rails as standard so im not sure exactly how they attach.

Completley new to all this stuff.

My car does not have rails either - you get feet which kind of clip onto the roof at the doors - if you open the doors and look you may see a small indent into which the feet will clip. The bars then fit onto the feet.

Anyhow, the feet whether Thule or whatever come with full instructions and fit very easy and securely - I carry 2 bikes on mine.

I was not necessarily advocating that you use Roofbox.co.uk but it is good for price comparison and shows what equipment you will need - whether from Micks Garage or any other Motor Factor.

When I changed cars I got the new feet (all cars require different feet but bars can generally be reused) from a Motor Factor in Tallaght for much less than Micks Garage.

Shop around a bit, plernty of Motor Factors out there.

Cheers, i just found a picture of the type of setup i need.

That car doesnt have rails either so im presuming this is the setup i need, is there a specific name for this? Or am i looking for the feet you mentioned but for a 2003 lancer?

Those feet are clipping into the gutter rather than over the door but principle is the same.

So long as they are specifically intended for your model they will be fine.
