I'm thinking of doing the Multimedia course and I wanted to know how much this course goes into audio production because i'm more interested in the music side of things.

I've already looked at other courses like the Music technology in NUI Maynooth but the feedback on the course is not positive.

Do you learn about sound desks and protools and other music related software on this course?

Theres two Audio studios in the college, not including DCUfms radio studio, you'll learn pro tools and how to use the desks, theres one audio module in first year, and if you take audio as your speciality you take a 2nd and 3rd module of it in second year.
Most of the focus in more on radio production but you should get plenty of opportunity to try out music, and work it into your projects, For example I'm in 3rd year working on my major project and my group has recorded a track with drums, guitars, bass and vocals. The lecturers were tons of help with getting this done.
