Not at the moment - but from next Sunday the 47 will be re-routed to link Nutley Lane (N11 Junction at RTE) with Pearse Street via Sandymount.

Otherwise it's a 39a to Baggot Street and walk from there I'm afraid.

    Lovely hurling!

You have any other info on the 47? Regular?Quick?

I guess I'll stop been lazy and give Dublin Bus a call :)

    Cheers.

    47 Timetable is here.

Actually I made an error - until next weekend selected journeys on routes 2 and 3 do that trip from UCD via Nutley Lane (those denoted with a "u" in the timetables below), but the first bus from UCD is not until 0830.

    Times are here and here.

Couldn't find anything on the 47 bus? Are you saying that would take me up to Pearse Street via Sandymount? Nearly quicker walking I'd say in rush hour traffic.

I presume A Leap card is the best way forward for a guy like myself (using the most 5 days a week but might walk some days).

Sorry for all the questions the trnasport system in Dublin is quite messy/****e!

    You have two options....

    1. Walk back out the N11 and turn left at RTE into Nutley Lane where you can pick up a 47 (on it's revised new route), get off when the bus crosses Grand Canal Quay and you're there.

    Route and frequency here..

    2. Walk up the full length of Anglesea Road to Ballsbridge, turn right at the top and wait outside the RDS for a 4, 7, 8 or 45 bus. Get off the bus at the first stop in Lr. Mount St. (after the bus crosses the Grand Canal) and walk up to Grand Canal Quay. This is a longer walk but you'll get one of these buses very quickly, the 47 is not that frequent a service.

Here is RTPI data for the stop outside the RDS, you'll see that with a choice of the 4, 7, 8 and 45 you won't be waiting long at any time of the day.

Going to be living in Donnybrook Castle. I am thinking just get the 46A up to top of Leeson Street and just walk along the Canal - keep it simple, no?

Yes, if the walk doesn't deter you, you can get the inbound 46A or 145 to the canal.
