I dont know if this is the right forum to post this in but I'll go ahead...

I am just wondering besides Ireland can you receive BBC One on your TV, in any other country for free? I cant find this information anywhere so perhaps someone here could help me.
    Thanks.

    depends on the country

if you are in a European country get a satellite dish and point it at 28.2E you can avail of freesat, with this you will receive all of the FTA British channels inc BBC1

the further away you are from UK\Ireland the bigger the dish required

    Example

For northern Spain, dish size requirements for Sky TV are 1.2m, but a 1.8m - 2.4m dish (minimum) may be needed for reliable Sky TV reception in Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga

While not for free, BBC One is available on cable in certain continental European countries where it could traditionally be picked up with a strong enough aerial - Ireland of course, but also the Netherlands and Belgium. And very oddly, Switzerland.

Most other European cable operators would carry BBC Worldwide's commercial channels, BBC Entertainment and BBC World, instead.
