Hey folks, a bit of advice please, need to upgrade the car to a 2011 model. Question is what to upgrade to? I'm a professional female, early 30's, no children& no mortgage, would like something fuel/tax efficient, low-average depreciation over next few years, smart but nothing crazy.
Suggestions so far have been the Volvo S60, or Audi A4.
I prefer the size& look of the Audi TT but it's impractical on other levels.
    Any other suggestions welcomed.

What kind of practicality do you need? Do you need big boot space for dogs/sports gear etc?

Not as such. However I do a fair amount of driving for work, and was told the TT isn't great re fuel economy, plus it depreciates badly?

You're a professional without kids/mortgage so I can only assume you've got disposable income.

If you want something cheap to run and practical, buy a diesel fiesta.

If I were in your position though, I'd be looking for something a bit exciting to keep me entertained. TT/Boxster/370Z etc.

EDIT: a diesel TT with the right spec will probably keep it's value better than most other cars on the road, has cheap tax and will crack 50mpg. What's your budget? What have you at the moment?

Budget circa 30k, but negotiable if something grabs me.
Fiesta- been there done that, about 15 years ago!
I guess part of the issue with the TT was I lived in Essex for a while, and it was quite popular there:rolleyes:
The 3 cars you mentioned are all along the lines of what I had in my head only don't know much about cars. Any other suggestions welcome also.
    edit: autotrader.ie, a 2012 370Z is about 60k, a 2010 model about 30k. Price you pay for beauty

Volvos as a general rule tend to have steep depreciation but the new S60 seems to be holding steady but will that trend continue, I'd doubt it.

It'll be hit by depreciation, but hey, you'll look cool driving it

Im judging form your posts you want small sporty car?:P how about a vw eos sister has one and has never had a problem with it. convertible and hers is a white diesel looks great and have never seen another white one nd very few others. you could go bmw 2door 3 series or an audi a3 they hold there value pretty well and are good on the juice :P

A wee bit out there in choice would be a Mini Coupe. If it holds it value like minis have in the past you should fair out okay with depreciation .
