Second learners Permit first insurance

    Not sure if I'm in the right category if not sorry new to this....
    I'm just trying to find out if you need a Certificate to state you've had 10 driving lessons to be put as a named driver on someone else's insurance?? (I'm on my second learners permit) Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

    I've never some across that stipulation before. I would contact the insurance company in question and clarify this.

    I'm the same never heard it before, it's just the insurance on the car is up the 16/05 and the insurance broker gave this information...

    Some insurers/brokers give discount if a learner permit holder has taken 10 or more lessons with an ADI. It's not a requirement but it could reduce the premium
