    hi all,

looking to insure the car at the moment and am coming up with either AA insurance or Chartis

quotes are ~523 and 579. Anyone know what the differences between the two policies are?

The reason I ask is AA policy is underwritten by Chartis so Im wondering how come its cheaper.

Can' figure it out from the fine print that is in the documentation.

AA are a broker. I often got cheaper broker quotes from an insurer than from the insurer themselves.

I knew that I would have thought it was the other way around.

Is there something that there is no breakdown assist with the AA insurance so you have to join the AA to get breakdown assist cover? and fork out 40-50 euro thereby paying the very same as to Chartis

You'll need to carefully compare the two policies to see.

AA sells policies without roadside assistance and tries to sell AA package separately. This may be the difference.
